P&C

The Dwellingup Primary School P&C is a group of motivated parents and community members whose main focus is to provide support in various forms for every student at Dwellingup Primary School.

Through fund raising the P&C subsidises additional educational programmes, incursions and excursions, as well as providing free breakfasts and low cost P&C lunches. Being a part of the design and construction process of the environmental playground was a major accomplishment for the members of the P&C. The completed playground is used extensively by students and visitors.

The Annual Dwellingup Pumpkin Festival which is held Easter Saturday on the school grounds is the P&C’s main fundraising event. This event has been running for over 20 years and in 2017 over 13000 people attended. The P&C raised $25000 on that single day. Please have a look at the “Dwellingup Pumpkin Festival” Facebook page to get an understanding of this awesome event, and come along to the next one. It promises to be bigger and better each year.

Another local favourite annual event organized by the P&C is the Mother’s Day Morning Tea. The link between the school community and the wider community is evident at this wonderfully heart-warming event where multiple generations gather to sing songs and enjoy a bite to eat. The raffle prizes are highly sought fter and you have to get in early to get your tickets.

The P&C also cook the BBQ at the Dwellingup 100 mountain bike event and support other events that are held in Dwellingup, including the “Black Dog” motor bike ride.

Meetings are held monthly, and more often leading into the Pumpkin Festival.

As a group, the P&C always welcomes fresh ideas and encourages all parents or community members to become involved. The members like to have fun fundraising and off course spending the profits on the student’s educational needs.
